ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Akiko Miyakoshi is the award-winning creator of several books for young readers, including The Tea Party in the Woods and Little Shrew. Her picture book The Way Home in the Night was named one of the 100 Best Picture Books of the 21st Century (So Far) by Kirkus Reviews. Her books have twice been named best illustrated books of the year by the New York Times/New York Public Library. Akiko lives, writes, draws, and dreams near the mountains in Japan.
